1843 Tablier Skirt
$9.00

This skirt design is a Charles F. Worth original, drawn in 1843 as an experimental gown. Though the style never really caught on, I thought it worth recreating as a unique style for those wanting something different. The upper "tablier" is cut into four rounded points and the Lower flounce is shaped to fit. The original drawing was trimmed with a ruche covering the seam at the top of the flounce.

Although designed to fit as a pre-hoop skirt, the extra wide lower flounce gives enough fullness at the hem (a total of 170"), to fit over any size hoop.

This pattern is "one size fits all", the waist can be pleated to fit any given measurement.
