1880s Yoked Blouse
$11.00

This is a loose fitting blouse, in a style commonly worn as a summer garment from 1878-1889. It is perfect for sheer or light weight fabrics, and is unlined and not boned. It has a yoked front and back, with plenty of fullness around the body for every body type, even maternity. Buttoned down the center front, with a small round, rolled collar. The sleeve is a 2-piece sleeve, with a little extra room above the elbow, yet fitted to the wrist. The blouse was commonly worn tucked into the skirt, but was also seen worn belted over the skirt.

The blouse is drafted based on a tailoring method actually used in the 1870's. Each size is hand drawn, not scaled. All of the blouse seams are true to the era, and can be worn with or without a corset.
