This elbow length cape was seen throughout the 1890's as the basic wrap of the times. It is cut in the Military style, also known as the ¾ Cape. It can be cut with a straight or scalloped hem. The reveres at the center front are optional. The collar is the stand-with-flair style, with wires to support the shape. The lining fabric is seen at the inside collar and optional reveres.

This pattern provides for a fully lined cape, and it can be interlined with flannel for warmth. The closure can be cloak clasps, coat hooks, or frogs, as desired.

Yardages given are with nap.
The scallop edged version will fit on 45" fabric on the fold.
The straight hem version will require 50" wide fabric to cut on fold. Narrower fabric will require a center back seam
