Dear Ladies,

I received my patterns from you, and excitedly got on with sewing. As suggested I made a mock-up of the patterns first. I found a nice check, (yellow, brown and green), and made up the skirt and jacket, trimmed it with green suede, and put 18 metal buttons down the front. I'm thinking of it as a ladies traveling outfit -- I'll send images soon.

It was a good idea to do a mock-up first, as I had chosen a slightly large size so I cut out the next one down for the real thing. I also added a pocket and a placket for the closure. I have just this minute finished the skirt, in chocolate brown dupion silk....I am absolutely thrilled, it looked completely gorgeous - I love it, I love it, I love it. It even sounds good as you walk. It is one of the most gorgeous things I've ever made, and I do a lot of crafts. Thank-you so much for helping me do this. I am about to start on the jacket and hope to be finished Saturday (today is Thursday). I'll send photos soon.

Thanks again......L. B.
