Awesome find! This looks so much easier than a curling iron and is less bulky than rollers if you need to sleep on your 'do the night before an event. More time consuming of course...but we're talking about historical costumers, so is that really a problem? I wonder, would this work with cold setting for synthetic hair...I may have to try that out. I wonder if we have any white tissue paper in the wrapping paper stash. Oh, wouldn't it be horrible if your hair or your wig got stained from colored tissue paper!

Only if the new color clashed with the purple streaks I have in my hair already. :P

I want to try it on synthetic hair also. I have good results with steaming but I always manage to burn myself. The flatiron looks much safer for me.
