Victorian Masquerade Ball in St. Paul, MN

Postby Sarah F » Tue Sep 28, 2010 5:00 pm

Hi everybody,

Just wanted to get the word out on the fall ball that the Minneapolis/St. Paul chapter of the Victorian Society is having!

Sarah F

Announcing: the Fairy Tale ball!

"Obsessed by a fairy tale, we spend our lives searching for a magic door and a lost kingdom of peace."--Eugene O'Neill.

That's right, this ball will have a fairy tale theme. What could be more appropriate for a group of people dedicated to honoring and recreating a lost era? Your ball ticket will include a dance lesson Friday night, a themed buffet dinner, and period dancing with live music. As this will be a full Masquerade Ball, we highly encourage costumes and masks with a fairy tale theme, in the spirit of the evening. Modern evening attire is welcomed as well. No partner is needed to participate in the dancing.

The ball will take place on Saturday, October 30th, 2010, at the Triune Masonic Lodge at 1898 Iglehart Avenue in St. Paul, Minnesota. There will be a dance practice on Friday the 29th, from 7 to 9 pm at the same location. On Saturday evening, the doors will open at 6 pm. When the clock chimes twelve, the ball will be over, and the dancers will have to hasten away lest they change into pumpkins!

The charge for this ball will be $35 for members and $40 for non-members. We invite you to check out the ball page on our website www.northstarvsa.com for further information.

Sincerely,
The board of the Northstar Chapter of the Victorian Society
