My TV 1830s gown worn at yesterday's Riverside Dickens Fair

Postby Val » Sun Feb 08, 2009 2:04 pm

I finally got a halfway decent photo that I could post here. Yesterday I wore my new gown in the fashion show at the Riverside Dickens Fair. I think it came out very nice, and had lots of compliments on it, especially the draping across the front. It's made with a purple and gold cotton, in a reproduction fabric purchased at Rosie's Calico Cupboard in San Diego, which carries a whole room of repro fabrics.

This was my bonnet I trimmed for it. And I'm sorry but I can't remember where I bought the straw form online.

If you remember where you bought it, please post a link. I can't find a cute bonnet anywhere!

Val, it's so pretty and you look great!
