Here are some pictures of my outfit for SteamCom 2009 in Seattle.
The skirts are all made from Truly Victorian patterns while the blouse, vest, and hat are my own design. The bustle is TV101. The underskirt is the TV261 1885 Four-Gore Underskirt. And the overskirt is the TV362 1884 Wash Overskirt.

Oh that's fabulous - well done! And it suits you so well. I really like your glasses, and the blouse especially; lovely cuffs!

How fun!
Would it be possible to see another picture of the skirt portion. It is a little lost in the matching background.
I really like your ruffles down the front. They are beautiful!

Wonderful! Do you have any more detail pics of your outfit? It looks great! I love the hat, and really your whole costume! Great work, would love to see more!

I love the back of the skirts! The longer back bodice shape is very flattering on you.
Do you have any friends who have automatic buttonhole settings on their sewing machines? If not, I'd say go with hook and eye closures, they've treated me pretty well on skirts so far. (Especially since my skirt waist sizes need frequent alteration.

Yes, hook and eye closures are great, especially if you have them on a strip instead of individual pieces. I used them to replace the tie strings in the TV101 bustle and they are holding one side of the underbust vest closed. I just need to try them on the other side too.
