Hi,
Does anyone know where to get u-tips? I'm trying to make one of the bustles from the Mantua-Maker's patterns for 1880's bustles, and I have hoop wire but no tips.

Hi Sarah - you can find U tips at corsetmaking.com. They're based out of Philadelphia, and I've had only good experiences when I've ordered from them. Not sure where you're located, but you can probably estimate what shipping time from Philly is without too much trouble. Good luck!

They are who I was going to recommend, aslo. 
But! I buy the 1/2 inch rigileen tips for my hoop steel. You push them on, instead of fighting with the mashing. I find they work well. They REALLY want to stay on. I have to use pliers to get them off, if I screw up my length.
