Choosing a pattern - Plus Sized

Postby Seraphina8084 » Sun Sep 18, 2011 8:13 pm

Hi, I'm starting off working on making a corset and have been doing a lot of research. I got the LM100 pattern but am not unsure if I got the wrong pattern. And I'm confused if I should use the dore or the silverado, because I read that large bust should use the dore but in one thread, it suggested a silverado for more apple shaped. Then I read that the TV110 is better for fuller figured ladies. So, I'm confused! If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it.

My measurements are B: 57, W:53 and H: 52

I am certain that I have enough squish to get a good reduction, which i mostly want in the waist. If there are any suggestions of pattern and sizing, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

They are both very good patterns, so am sure that you will be fine with either one. I think based on your measures, that you could go with the Silverado. The Silverado tends to define the bust from the waist better for those with less natural distinction. If you haven't seen it yet, I have posted everything I know about working with the LM100 pattern. http://trulyvictorian.com/LM100.html
