Powder Blue Rococo-Inspired Gown

Postby Sabrina Fair » Wed Apr 25, 2012 8:14 am

This is a late Baroque-inspired gown I just finished last night.

Under the hood is the Grand Bustle TV108 and a flounced petticoat using the 1885 Four-Gore Underskirt TV261 as a base. Over that I have another TV261 to smooth out the flounces.

The dress itself is the 1869 Grand Parlor Skirt TV202 with ruffles at the hem. The overskirt is a modification of the Four-Gore Underskirt. The bodice is the 1885 Cuirass Bodice TV460 with elbow-length sleeves and sheer flounces.

Lovely! I am very jealous of your bows, they are perfect!

Thank you, Miss Cindy! They're just regular rectangles with a loop centerpiece.

Thanks! It's a really nice matte poly taffeta I found. It has the weight and hand of a silk taffeta and without the usual poly taffeta sheen.
