Undies, everyone has to wear them.

So I just made the Grand Bustle. I like the hoop like effect but the bustle itself is less than grand. Since there are no ties how can I fix that? Maybe cut the inside panel in the center and make it smaller? my tv 101 is much larger in the booty...
Here is what it looks like with the grand parlor skirt -- note I'm not wearing my corset so the bustle probably isn't sitting quite right...

If you want to make the back narrower, then you can take a tuck in the back panel.
The two bustles are pretty close to the same size, at least in the larger sizes. So you should be able to get comparable results.

It might, depending on the shape it is now. The panel should set the ends of the wires to just about the same width as your body. If you make the wires too narrow, it can look a little bit funny. And at some point, the bustle stops getting more prominent and just starts getting round.
What kind of wire are you using? Do you have a pic of the bustle, without a skirt over it?

Ok, it seems to fine in that photo. I do see one thing, that may or may not be effecting the shape. The stripes at the waist line show that is it really pulling towards the front. Maybe try shifting the side back seam farther back, about 2-3", and then gathering or pleating the back to fit, easing the front pleats/gathers a bit.
Other than that, if you want a bigger bustle, I think you are going to need to make the back bigger and put in longer bones.

I see what you are noticing. I will need to try it on with my corset and see what it is doing. the waistband is a little too small without it, which would explain part of the pulling.
